As the days get colder and colder, we’ll be looking for more ways to heat ourselves in our homes this holiday season.

The rising energy prices are also to play their part in the way we heat our homes.

In this article, we’ll be touching on, why electric blankets will be a key part of your bedroom.

Typically, electric blankets cost around 0.8 pence a night to run, on a double bed via 100 watts of energy, according to Uswitch. If you’re struggling with heating bills, this is somewhat marginally cheaper, instead of leaving your radiator, overnight.

The cost of a double heated blanket will set you back around £20-30, meaning that in the long run, you’ll probably save a lot of cash compared to heating your home.

Of course, if you want something a bit more luxurious, you’ll have to spend a bit more money. The electric blankets in the other top-end range will set you back about £60-80.

Electric blankets are recommended for temporary use and not overnight. It could pose a fire hazard, so that’s why a lot of electric blankets nowadays come with timers.
